The Window

Pilot episode — why the next 5 years matter more than the next 50.

Pilot: “The Window”

The first episode asks one question: why do the next 5 years matter more than the next 50?

The AI transition has a window — a period where the technology is powerful enough to reshape everything but the patterns aren’t locked in yet. Governance structures, economic models, workforce systems, civic infrastructure — all of it is still malleable. In five years, it won’t be. The concrete sets. And whatever got poured into the mold is what we live with.

This episode makes the case that now is when it matters to pay attention, participate, and build — not after the transition is over, not when the disruption arrives at your door, but right now while the window is open.

What the Episode Covers

The acceleration curve. Where AI capabilities are today vs. 18 months ago. What’s plausible in the next 2-3 years based on current trajectories. Not hype — trajectory.

The policy gap. What governments — especially state and local — are doing about AI right now. (Mostly: nothing.) What that vacuum means for the people who live under those governments.

The Oklahoma lens. What the AI transition looks like from a state that ranks in the bottom quartile on most readiness metrics. Not a sob story — a honest assessment of where the leverage is.

The Foundation. Introducing the 16-component policy framework and why it exists. Not all 16 in depth — just the architecture and the argument for why comprehensive matters more than piecemeal.

The invitation. This isn’t a show you watch. It’s a show you participate in. What that means, how it works, and why it has to be built live.
